MARCH OF DIMES
March of Dimes has been providing support to Canadians with disabilities for more than 60 years. They are able to provide help to individuals of all ages who live with a disability or disabilities. To learn more about their programs, click here.
PRESIDENT’S CHOICE CHILDREN’S CHARITY
The President’s Choice Children’s Charity is dedicated to helping children who are physically or developmentally challenged. Families who have children born with disabilities come to them for help. They provide direct financial assistance in the purchase of mobility equipment.
SAFEWAY MOBILITY GRANTS
Muscular Dystrophy Canada has teamed up with Canada Safeway to raise much needed funds to support those living with neuromuscular disorders. The Safeway Mobility Grants were created to assist registered clients with the purchase of new medically necessary mobility related equipment; in order to be eligible to receive funding, you must be a registered client of Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Some religious organizations have funds set aside to assist those who are in need. Contact your nearest religious organization to find out if they offer a program and how it may work.
GOVERNMENT OF MANITOBA DISABILITY & HEALTH SUPPORT UNIT
