Summary

A key member of the MoveMobility Innovation team working to create, develop, refine, launch, and support world class accessible vehicles, while demonstrating and adhering to the company’s core values

Responsibilities

•Ownership of all related aspects of the electrical design, development, and implementation required to support vehicle conversions from prototype thru production •Review and evaluation of all current/existing product electrical to align conversion(s) with requirements, codes, standards, and good practice •Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, customer requirements, standards, and good practice for all new developments •Generate design(s) using CAD (2D/3D) to produce (and maintain) accurate BOM structuring for conversions (including ECO and revisions) in accordance with company best practice •Determine test requirements and support and/or coordinate activities to complete testing •Complete calculations, measurements/data collection, and generation of reports /documentation when required •Work with suppliers to select components and/or develop system level solutions and product offerings •Identify and recommend components and/or products to meet application needs or support change requests (cost reductions, change of supplier, etc.) •Support bid specification reviews and sales inquiries as related to electrical content to define feasibility, identify risks, timeline estimates, and projected costs associated •Assist in creation of content to establish internal electrical standards, policies, procedures, specifications and/or manuals •Provide troubleshooting and support to production / operations or service teams

Attributes

•Minimum of 3+ years experience in automotive electrical (or a similar background) with a proven track record of managing electrical design and implementation of electrical systems •Excellent written and verbal communication •Motivated Self Starter with a positive attitude •Strong attention to detail •Ability to multitask with effective time management •Excellent Problem-solving skills •Highly organized

Software/Technology/Platforms We Use

•Strong CAD background with emphasis on harness design, schematic creation, and bill of material generation •Computer proficiency (MS Office)

What Success Looks Like

•Well versed in automotive chassis architecture, strategies, and regulations (CMVSS/FMVSS, DOT, D409, ADA) •Understanding of automotive electrical standards (SAE, ISO, etc.) and applicable Canada / USA electrical codes (CSA, UL, etc.) •Direct experience with vehicle multiplexing systems, CAN networks, and programming •Familiarization with both low voltage (12/24v) and line voltage (120v) systems specific to vehicle applications (or equivalent) •Knowledge of high voltage vehicle systems (hybrid and/or EV battery) is considered an asset •Knowledge of radio equipment integration to vehicles •Use of hand tools, inspection, and measurement equipment •Ability to construct prototype parts and test components or systems •Background in a manufacturing (or assembly) production setting is strongly preferred •Familiarization with use of ERP/MRP system is an asset •Understanding of project management fundamentals is considered an asset
