PL Classic: Rear Lift Ram Promaster

MoveMobility’s PL Classic wheelchair van is built on the Ram Promaster 159” Wheelbase High Roof model. It’s a great option you if you’re an accessible transportation provider that needs the convenience of a rear access wheelchair lift.

The PL Classic can be configured for up to 10 ambulatory passengers, 3 wheelchairs*, or a combination of both. 

The PL Classic is available with Side Entry or Rear Entry lift access.

PL Classic Rear Entry Wheelchair Accessible Van

The PL Classic Rear Entry accessible van is configured with a hydraulic wheelchair lift at the back of the van. Wheelchair users enter using the wheelchair lift, and ambulatory passengers enter using the side sliding door. 

With rear entry access, you are not limited to extra-wide parking spaces. The hydraulic wheelchair lift makes it easy to load large, heavy wheelchairs that would otherwise be difficult to manually push up a ramp.

PL Classic Side Entry Wheelchair Accessible Van

The PL Classic Side Entry accessible van is configured with a hydraulic wheelchair lift at the passenger side door entrance. Wheelchair users enter the vehicle using the lift, while walk-on passengers enter through the rear doors.

Side entry wheelchair access allows you to load wheelchairs into the vehicle directly from the curb. The convenience of a hydraulic lift makes it easy for operators to safely load and unload passengers with manual and powered wheelchairs.

High Capacity Heat & A/C

In the Canadian climate, you need an interior heating and cooling system that keeps your passengers comfortable, no matter the weather. MoveMobility's High Capacity Heat & A/C system ensures even air distribution to prevent windows frosting up.

Large Windows

Passengers and drivers can enjoy large van windows that fill the vehicle with natural light without compromising privacy or the van's internal temperature.

Mobility Assists

Grab poles and handles are located throughout the vehicle to support ambulatory and mobility passengers while they enter and exit the vehicle.

Anti-Slip Running Boards

Durable, anti-slip running boards provide drivers with an additional step to make getting in and out of the van safer. Their unique design prevents snow and ice buildup to minimize risk of slips and falls.

PL Classic Van FAQs

No, the PL Classic does not have a lowered floor or a raised roof. Wheelchair passengers are able to enjoy the view from large windows, instead of being seated below other passengers with limited visibility.

No, the PL Classic is built on the Ram Promaster 2500, which has a maximum passenger capacity of 10 persons. It does not require a Class 4 or F/B License. Always confirm your provincial licensing requirements.

The PL Classic includes a hydraulic wheelchair lift, sometimes known as a platform lift. As with any mechanical equipment, the lift requires maintenance for the best performance. If the lift is not serviced regularly, the lift may experience issues over time.

MoveMobility provides training and service videos to allow your operators to self-diagnose potential lift issues. Our Customer Care Team is also available to support you with training and service help.

The PL Classic accommodates up to 3 wheelchairs, up to 10 ambulatory passengers, or a combination of both. Up to 10 persons can ride in the vehicle at one time.

Wheelchair capacity depends on the size and layout of the chair. A side mounted lift may occupy usable interior space.

AutoFloor is used in every MoveMobility full size van conversion. It provides you flexibility for seat and wheelchair positions. You can easily accommodate different mobility devices with the ability to move seats around within minutes. Without AutoFloor, you are not able to customize floorplans.
