Movemobility Moose Mascot Goes to Tadoule Lake in Van Delivery

On Friday, March 26, 2018, we were pleased to meet with representatives from the Sayisi Dene First Nation at MoveMobility’s Head Office in Winnipeg to hand over their new Wheelchair Accessible vans! Thank you to Peter and Shirley Cheekie and the drivers who accompanied them.

 

Accommodating Winter Roads

The Wheelchair Accessible Promasters were completed in a very short space of time. This was due to the requirement for the vans to be driven across Manitoba’s winter roads. Because of the remote location of some northern communities, these basic access routes cross many types of landscape: muskeg, rivers, lakes, and streams. The winter roads are expected to close early this year, meaning our team at MoveMobility worked hard to have the vans ready to go before the roads deteriorated. Giving Back

Our team also became aware that there is an upcoming Carnival at the Sayisi Dene First Nation. MoveMobility decided to donate a Vento Wifi Drone for a door prize. We were very pleased to have received the shipment of our company mascots, Emmitt, and we sent them along! Read the blog post on Emmit here.
