The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical finance leader with a track record of driving growth and efficiency in manufacturing or similarly complex industries. Comfortable working in a dynamic, scaling environment, you’re both a big-picture thinker and a detail-oriented executor. You thrive on partnering with executive teams to shape strategy, improve margins, and lead transformative initiatives like profit sharing programs that align financial success with team performance.
The CFO is a key executive leader driving financial excellence in a fast-growing, mid-scale automotive mobility manufacturer. As a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, you’ll deliver hands-on, data-driven leadership that guides the company toward sustainable growth, stronger margins, and operational efficiency. You’ll shape financial priorities, refine product and pricing strategy, reduce operational costs, and take the lead on financial reporting and compliance. Using tools like Goldfinch ERP and Salesforce CRM, you’ll bring clear visibility and rigor to decision-making. You will also play a key role in implementing a company-wide profit share program in collaboration with the CEO.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership · Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with long-term growth and profitability goals. · Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial priorities including pricing, product focus, and expansion. · Provide functional leaders with actionable financial insights to drive resource allocation and performance. Business Insights & Profit Optimization · Build and manage robust reporting, including detailed gross profit analysis by product, segment, and region. · Identify high-margin opportunities and guide Sales, Marketing, and Product teams toward them. · Pinpoint underperforming areas and partner with Operations to drive efficiency and margin improvements Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance · Lead rigorous budgeting and forecasting processes tied directly to company strategy. · Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial management reports within 5 days of month-end, with full accountability for accuracy and clarity. · Track performance versus targets and recommend corrective actions when needed. · Use advanced financial modeling and scenario planning to support decision-making. Cash Flow & Capital Stewardship · Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning to support growth objectives. · Ensure the efficient allocation of resources across product lines and business units. Governance, Risk & Compliance · Personally prepare and ensure the timely, accurate submission of all tax filings, financial statements, and regulatory reports. · Maintain internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and proactively manage financial risk. Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration · Provide leadership and direction for the finance function; recommend staffing needs and organizational structure as the business evolves (without direct hiring authority). · Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to integrate financial objectives into operational plans. · Partner with the CEO to design and implement a company-wide profit share program that aligns employee incentives with business performance.

Qualifications

· Strategic Acumen: Links financial insight to commercial priorities and long-term value. · Operational Focus: Deeply engaged with the business to identify margin and cost opportunities. · Influential Leadership: Trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team. · Execution Ownership: Personally accountable for results, not just reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

Experience

10+ years in senior financial leadership, ideally in manufacturing, automotive, or mobility sectors. · Proven success in driving profitable growth through financial insight, cost optimization, and strategic guidance. · Expertise in financial modeling, tax compliance, management reporting, and margin analysis. · Proficient with ERP and CRM systems experience with Goldfinch ERP and Salesforce strongly preferred.
