The ideal candidate for the Market Research Specialist role is a strategic, data-driven professional with 3+ years of experience in market research, customer insights, or product innovation. They excel at gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, customer needs, and market opportunities. Proficient in research tools and analytics platforms, they turn complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Comfortable working across teams, they effectively collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Innovation to align product development with real market demand. Strong communication skills, industry awareness, and a background in Marketing, Business, or a related field make them a key asset in driving growth and informed decision-making.
The Market Research Specialist identifies market opportunities, trends, and customer needs to drive innovation and ensure product development aligns with real market demand. This role collects and analyzes data from surveys, trade shows, competitor analysis, and focus groups to support business growth. Acting as a bridge between Marketing, Sales, and Innovation, it ensures that every new vehicle or adaptation meets customer and industry needs. Additionally, this role identifies new market segments where existing vehicle models can be adapted with minimal investment, expanding the company’s reach while optimizing resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Conduct market research to identify gaps, trends, and shifts, uncovering innovation opportunities. •Gather intelligence through customer engagement, trade shows, surveys, focus groups, and reports. •Assess opportunities to adapt vehicles for underserved markets and explore new use cases based on trends, insights, and analysis. •Analyze data from internal and external sources to provide actionable recommendations. •Collaborate with the Innovation team to ensure insights inform product development. •Work with Marketing and Sales to translate customer insights into strategies aligned with business goals. •Identify key industry professionals and decision-makers, determining the best approach to gather insights. •Analyze performance data, demand, and feedback to refine product offerings and positioning. •Develop reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

•3+ years in market research, business analysis, or product innovation, identifying market opportunities. •Skilled in customer interviews, focus groups, and trade show intelligence gathering. •Proficient in qualitative/quantitative research and competitive analysis. •Highly organized, managing multiple projects and communicating insights effectively. •Strong communication skills for engaging industry professionals and gathering insights.

Education

•Post secondary education, bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Market Research, Product Development, or a related field. •Additional certifications in Customer Experience, Product Innovation, or Market Intelligence are an asset

Experience

•Market Research Analyst, Business Analyst, or Research Associate in corporate or agency settings. •Consumer Insights Specialist with expertise in surveys, focus groups, and data analysis. •Industry Consultant or Researcher with experience in market segmentation and competitive benchmarking.
