MoveMobility has an exciting opportunity for a creative Designer! We’re looking for someone to customize and elevate designs, blending functionality with aesthetics, and ensuring each product meets our customers needs.

Your major purpose will be to design aftermarket fabrication for vehicle conversions. The focus will be design projects from conception to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design •Collaborates with Project Management Team to develop modern, innovative solutions for our clients. •Designs projects with 3D Modelling software from conception to completion including as built drawings •Provides detailed, accurate, complete information for Operator and Maintenance Manuals •Compiling design files for parts manufacturing, that interface with production equipment •Creates protypes •Testing of component parts •Continuous improvement of current part designs •Development of process improvement •Production run and quality assurance testing Administration •Communication with production staff on a regular basis •Attends team meetings as required •Organization and filing of documents, change orders, shop drawings etc. •Documents all project work in project management software •Submits weekly reports for each project

Qualifications

•Highly Organized •Strong attention to detail •Ability to multitask •Excellent Problem-solving skills •Motivated Self Starter •Positive Attitude Technical Skills and Knowledge – specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform essential job functions •Ability to think strategically •CAD •Strong understanding of company portfolio •Excellent trouble shooting skills •Computer proficiency •Project managements skills and ability to manage multiple projects

Education

High School diploma or equivalent • Successful completion of a minimum one of the following: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technologist Program or Drafting & Design Technologist

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience using CAD • Regular customer contact • Customer Service experience • Hands on shop/practical experience and asset
