Eligibility requirements
To qualify for this grant, you must be one of the following:
- A non-profit organization
- A municipal government (excluding the City of Winnipeg)
- A Northern Affairs Community Council
If your organization fits into one of these categories, you might be eligible to apply!
Deadline for applications
Applications are open now and must be submitted by:
February 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

What does the grant fund?
This grant supports a variety of community-led projects that focus on renewal, safety, and well-being. Funding is divided into three streams:
1. Community Renewal Initiatives
- Capacity building and planning
- Economic development projects
- Activities to promote safety and neighborhood connection
- Anti-racism and inclusion efforts
- Housing and safety coordination
2. Community Spaces
- Capital projects to improve community facilities and public spaces
3. Healthy, Safe, Connected Children and Youth
- Wellness and recreational programs
- Youth leadership, training, and internships
- Outreach initiatives targeting children and youth
How much does the grant fund?
Funding varies by applicant and stream. Here’s a breakdown:
Community Renewal Initiatives & Community Spaces
- Non-profits/Northern Affairs Community Councils: Up to 80% of eligible costs, capped at $100,000
- Municipal Governments: Up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at $100,000
Healthy, Safe, Connected Children and Youth
- Non-profits/Northern Affairs Community Councils: Up to 80% of eligible costs, capped at $50,000
- Municipal Governments: Up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at $50,000
