As a Pre-Production Assembler, you will assist in the preliminary assembly stages of vehicle modifications. Your role involves preparing and organizing parts, components, and materials to ensure a smooth and efficient assembly process for wheelchair accessible vehicle conversions. You will work closely with the assembly and production teams to ensure that all pre-assembly tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pre-Assembly Preparation: Organize and prepare parts and materials needed for the assembly of vehicle conversions, including ramps, lifts, flooring, seating and HVAC systems. • Component Handling: Ensure that all components are inspected for defects or damage before being passed on to the Production team. Assist in categorizing parts for easy access during the assembly process. • Parts Assembly: Assist with the pre-assembly of smaller parts, such as brackets, mounting hardware, and structural components, to be used in the final vehicle conversion. • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for parts and materials, ensuring that the assembly team has adequate supplies and notifying supervisors of any shortages. • Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company cleanliness standards. • Collaboration: Work closely with the lead assembly team, fabricators, and supervisors to ensure that the pre-assembly process is aligned with production schedules. • Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of pre-assembly work, including part numbers, quantities, and any special instructions for components. • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

• Valid MB Drivers license • Forklift experience • Minimum one year related experience (production or manufacturing) • Strong attention to detail • Working computer knowledge • Initiative • Ability to multitask • Calm under pressure • Excellent Problem-solving skills

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
