The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including customers, third-party service providers, and suppliers.
This role blends hands-on repair work with cutting-edge innovation, offering the opportunity to work on both customer vehicles and prototype projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including customers, third-party service providers, and suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Trouble Shooting & Diagnostics • Identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions by analyzing symptoms and using diagnostic tools. • Assist customers over the phone with diagnosing and resolving technical issues. • Work with third-party service providers across North America and suppliers to troubleshoot product concerns. • Install and troubleshoot complex wiring for lights, sirens, radios, and other emergency equipment. • Work with 12V and sometimes higher voltage systems safely. Repair & Maintenance • Perform necessary repairs by replacing faulty components, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment according to manufacturer specifications. • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems. • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in lighting, sirens, power supplies, etc. Final Customer Order Vehicle Inspection • Conduct thorough final inspections, and check for cosmetic and functional defects • Verify accuracy of vehicle specifications, features and customizations • Ensure that all work meets quality standards and company guidelines • Identify and document any discrepancies and corrections to resolve any quality issues Innovation & Prototyping • Work with the Innovation team to build, test, and refine prototype vehicles, mock-ups, and new automotive technologies. • Provide feedback and hands-on insights to engineers and designers, contributing ideas for design improvements and product development.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of chassis mechanics and operation of accessible, mobile medical, and ambulance conversions. • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze, and identify problems, and develop solutions. • Knowledgeable on various tools and equipment used for repairs and conversions, including diagnostic tools and welding skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with B2B clients • Ability to follow procedures, ensure quality workmanship, and inspect final production

Education

• Certification or training in Automotive Technology, Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

• 5 years experience in vehicle service, maintenance, or product development is a strong asset. • Familiarity with working alongside suppliers, OEMs, and service providers is a plus.
